Boniva, or ibandronate sodium, is manufactured by Roche Therapeutics Inc and Genentech. It is approved by the FDA as a once-monthly oral treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis symptoms in women. The one tablet per month treatment must be prescribed by your doctor.
